Span 300: Pre-Capstone for Spanish Majors
Course Description:
Directed toward Spanish majors preparing for their Capstone experience, this 2 unit course aims to guide the student in the process of completing a capstone proposal and initiating the preliminary steps toward the graduation portfolio. The portfolio provides evidence that a student is making satisfactory progress toward meeting the Core requirements and Major Learning Outcomes (MLOs) for the Spanish B.A.

Course Reflective Narrative:
This course was somewhat of an add-on to the WLC Major Proseminar course, where we discussed the Capstone Project and learned about resources available to us for the project. Through this course I was able to discuss my Capstone idea with my peers and also get advice from my advisor on ways to make it a good research paper. After picking my Capstone idea I was able to pick out sources I wanted to use for my project and made a thorough outline for my Capstone paper. The idea of the class was to really get everything fine-tuned and ready for the Spring semester so that we would be prepared to start writing our papers right away and have all our sources already found.
